1. What time of year can I find the best deals at the beach?
Virginia Beach hotels, restaurants, and shops offer the best deals during the shoulder seasons (Oct-Nov, Apr-May). At this time, you can find outstanding hotel rates on Virginia Beach oceanfront hotels & deals on your favorite Virginia Beach souvenirs.

2. Has Virginia Beach received any recognitions?
Virginia Beach has received numerous recognitions including: Best Place to Live (USA Weekend), No.1 City for Women (Ladies' Home Journal), Fifth-best Boardwalk (TravelChannel.com), Safest City of 300,000 or more (FBI & US Census Bureau), The World's Longest Pleasure Beach (Guinness Book of World Records), and Most Stroller Friendly City (Fit Pregnancy)... congratulations Virginia Beach!

3. Are there any nice public golf courses in Virginia Beach?
There are several lush golf courses in the Virginia Beach area. TPC, Signature at West Neck, and Heron Ridge are just a few of the top courses in Virginia Beach. EXPERT TIP: While you're on the golf course, schedule a spa treatment for that special someone at Virginia Beach's new Hilton Spa!

4. Where can I find the best rates on a Virginia Beach hotel?
There are a variety of websites that offer Virginia Beach hotel rates, but Virginia Beach Live exclusively offers "Hot Deals", deeply discounted Virginia Beach hotel inventory that must be sold. 5. Would like some ideas for places to visit while in Virginia Beach. I have a 8 year old and a 13 year old.
I have several suggestions for you while you visit Virginia Beach with your children. Don't miss: the Virginia Aquarium, Motor World (go-karting), Jungle Golf (miniature golf), Virginia Zoo (Norfolk), or Mount Trashmore (picnicking, kite flying, “kid’s cove”, volleyball/basketball etc). Virginia Beach has attractions for all ages, all interests! If you wanted to head up to Williamsburg, you could also visit Colonial Williamsburg and do a little shopping at the outlet mall.

6. Where are good locations in Virginia Beach to stay with young children with activities and sights for them to see?
The Virginia Beach resort area is full of sights and sounds for children of all ages to enjoy! Between Memorial Day & Labor Day, the trolley runs up and down Atlantic Ave. as well as to popular Virginia Beach attractions including the Virginia Aquarium, Motor World, Ocean Breeze, the Convention Center, and the mall. Virginia Beach's BeachStreet USA offers (FREE) acts including puppeteers, jugglers, musicians, magicians, and much more! No matter where you stay, Virginia Beach has it all

7. If I don't drive, how can I get around Virginia Beach? Does Virginia Beach offer transportation to area attractions?
Virginia Beach operates a convenient trolley service that runs constantly between Memorial Day & Labor Day weekends, linking the oceanfront with all the popular Virginia Beach destinations. Routes include Lynnhaven Mall, the Shops at Hilltop, Ocean Breeze/Motor World, Virginia Aquarium, and the Verizon Wireless Virginia Beach Amphitheater. Fares are $1 for adults & children under 38”. EXPERT TIP: You may purchase a VB fare card for unlimited rides (5-day is $8, 3-day is $5, and 1-day is $3).

You have several choices to get to Virginia Beach. You may use the Norfolk Airport Shuttle, which charges $30.50 one-way for one person & $8 dollars for each additional person.
